Joshua is an International Medical Graduate who obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree in 2020. He has years of clinical experience in Family Medicine. He has a Master's degree in Health Education (M.Ed.) and has published in international peer-reviewed scientific journals on educational technology and molecular biology. He has also authored and published a book in Germany entitled 10,000 "Likes" for Safety. As a Physician Assistant working under the supervision of licensed physicians specializing in functional and preventive medicine, he facilitates medical interviews and physical examinations with clients. He also proposes diagnoses and treatment plans to physicians and carries out minor medical procedures

Iressa is an international medical graduate with more than ten years of experience in Internal Medicine, Functional Medicine and Acupuncture. Integrating preventive and integrative approaches with conventional medical guidelines is her forte, as she works under the direct supervision of a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and licensed Physician at DeerFields Clinic.

Her in-depth medical background in conventional medicine, preventive medicine, IV Therapy and Phlebotomy, and her current Canadian leadership education, make her an excellent and valuable addition to the team in providing high-quality patient care.
Erika Velasquez, IMG
Physician Associate
Erika is an international medical graduate with three years of independent medical practice as a General Physician. She received her medical degree from St Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine, the leading and most respected healthcare institution in the Philippines. She served as a company physician for an energy company in the Philippines and has diverse experience as a primary care physician in various outpatient clinics across the country. Additionally, she holds a Post Graduate Certification in Health Services Administration from Niagara College and awarded the Keith Segal GuardMe Scholarship which is given to the top 12 international students, further enhancing her expertise in healthcare management. Lastly, she is a certified provider of basic and advanced cardiac life support accredited by the American Heart Association.
Susan completed post secondary training and is licensed under the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists (OSMT) in Medical Laboratory Sciences. She is a dedicated health care professional that performs venipuncture, prepares samples for lab testing, operates lab equipment and manages special testing and therapeutics such as 2 hour oral glucose tolerance. She has a particular skill in venipuncture for anxious patients and is a valued member of the clinical team.

Norlissa is a dedicated nursing professional with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Nursing in Medical-Surgical Nursing. With a strong foundation in patient care, she has amassed diverse experience over her career. She has spent two years as an ER Nurse, where she developed strong skills in critical care and emergency response. Following that, she spent two years in an Ophthalmology Institute as a clinical and surgical nurse then transitioned as a Kidney Transplant Nurse further enhancing her expertise in patient care and surgical procedures.

Additionally, she has five years of experience as an Unregulated Care Provider in an Alzheimer's and Dementia Unit, where she has been a source of comfort and support for both patients and their families. With a commitment to holistic care, Norlissa strives to improve the quality of life for those she serves, making a positive impact in every role she undertakes.

Julie Ann is a registered Medical Laboratory Technician under the Medical Laboratory Professionals’ Association of Ontario and has honed her phlebotomy skills when she worked at Lifelabs. She is also certified in IV Administration and Vitamin Therapy.
Additionally she is an international educated nurse from the Philippines with years of volunteer experience at a provincial hospital. Julie Ann takes pride in being a dedicated team member, with expertise in venipuncture and IV insertion.

Clinical Assistant
Larissa holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Kinesiology with honours from Guelph Humber University. She also has a fitness and health promotion diploma from Humber College. She is a Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP), a Certified Personal Trainer (CSEP-CPT) personal trainer and a fitness instructor specialist (CAN FIT PRO). She holds a phlebotomy certificate (CIMT College), a cardiac stress testing certificate (Michener Institute of Education at UHN), and a spirometry & audiometry certificate (Occupational Health Works Inc).
She can perform instant or lab-based urine and saliva drug tests certified by DriverCheck. She is also a breath alcohol tester (BAT) certified again with DriverCheck. She renews her CPR, First Aid and AED certificates annually. She has a KettleBell certificate from Athletic and Wellness Inc. Above all these certifications, she also holds a comedy writing and performance diploma from Humber College. She looks forward to taking part, every year, in the Can Fit Pro World Fitness Expo as a team leader for the volunteers. She has been involved with this event since 2007.
