The Bredesen Protocol Program for Alzheimer’s disease

The Bredesen Protocol Program for Alzheimer’s disease

The statistics are sobering. Over 5 million Americans and 750,000 Canadians have Alzheimer’s disease. Females outnumber males 2:1 and the number of new cases is expected to rise exponentially by 2050. Despite the billions of dollars spent on research in search of a cure, no treatment options have emerged.

Today however, there is a new and proven approach to treating those with Alzheimer’s disease. Developed by Dale E. Bredesen, MD, and detailed in his new book The End of Alzheimer’s…The First Program to Prevent and Reverse Cognitive Decline, we are excited to announce that our Medical Director, Dr. Randy Knipping is among a small and select group of medical experts from around the world, trained in and authorised to work with clients using the Bredesen approach.

Dr. Bredesen is a professor of neurology at UCLA and the founding president of the Buck Institute on Aging. His protocol is based on lifestyle changes to guard against and reverse the disease. He believes Alzheimer’s is not one condition, but three distinct types of conditions that may be caused by any number of imbalances. By abandoning the one-size-fits-all approach to Alzheimer’s, we can guard against many of these factors on an individual level through lifestyle practices such as better sleep, lower stress levels, more activity and changes to diet.

Dr. Randy Knipping, Board Certified Physician in both Conventional and Functional Medicine, will work with you and your loved ones, administering the Bredesen protocol to both prevent brain decline and to restore brain functioning by correcting imbalances. Learn more about the Bredesen protocol.

This requires:

  • Meeting and evaluating each client.
  • Testing to evaluate inflammation, biomarkers of disease, hormonal status, vitamin levels, and exposure to toxins.
  • Developing a personalized program often requiring lifestyle changes and a commitment to strict adherence.
  • An ongoing commitment to period testing, evaluations and attendance at clinic appointments.
