Mitch brings over a decade in clinical experience and project management. Before joining DeerFields, she worked with some of Toronto’s top cardiac and executive health clinics and an Independent Cardiac Technician. Passionate about cardiovascular health, Mitch has specialized in non-invasive cardiology Procedures such as GXT, Electrocardiography, Heart Rhythm Analysis, Holter Scanning and VO2 max. Her work and dedication to excellence assures that our clients always have a first class experience.

Anthony Barsby

BSc, CEP & Lifestyle Coach

As DeerFields’ Lifestyle Coach, Anthony uses the five pillars of lifestyle to provide clients with comprehensive and customized lifestyle coaching through face-to-face consultations and online mentoring. A Certified Exercise Physiologist, Anthony is proficient at fitness assessments and implementing exercise prescriptions catered to individual’s unique needs and capabilities.

Anthony graduated Magna Cum Laude from York University with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology and a certificate in Fitness Assessment & Exercise Counseling. Prior to joining DeerFields, Anthony worked as Exercise Physiologist at York University’s Human Performance Lab completing hundred’s of fitness assessments on athletes and applicants for physically demanding occupations.

Anthony has also worked as a Personal Trainer focusing on athletic performance development and fitness introduction.

Kiran Verma

Physician Assistant

Kiran studied medicine at Windsor University School of Medicine from 2007-2013 graduating with an MD degree in 2014. Following medical school, Kiran spent two years in Chicago as an Assistant in the Family Medicine Department at Swedish Covenant Hospital; a Medical Assistant in Paediatric Endocrinology at Rush Hospital; and in a clinical rotation including OB/GYN at St. Bernard Hospital. An International physician, she is working towards Board certification in Canada where she looks forward to a career in family medicine.

While attending medical school, Kiran was part of the Helping Hands Organization aiding poor and unwell individuals in St. Kitt’s & Nevis. She received an award for providing exemplary service and care to others.

At DeerFields, Kiran’s primary responsibilities will include assisting Dr. Knipping with managing prescriptions, referrals, and supporting our female clients. In addition, she will act as client liaison, following up after Exams and Quarterly Reviews, reaching out to confirm appointments, as well many other important client matters. Kevin Roy

Kevin is very proud to be part of a tremendously passionate team at Deerfields and hopes to inspire others to approach their health & vitality in the Deerfields’ way….

Kevin is a graduate of Laurentian University (1986) and has spent the majority of his career working in the Healthcare industry. Most recently, he is joining DeerFields after spending 3 1/2 years with G.E. Healthcare in the position as Account Manager responsible for major hospitals and purchasing groups throughout Ontario and Manitoba.

Prior to G.E., Kevin worked in similar roles with Baxter Canada and Sanofi-Aventis where his “customer comes first” approach was invaluable in forging solid relationships. His hope is that his passion and belief in living a strong and healthy lifestyle will resonate well with Deerfields’ current clients as well as those to come.

Kayla Adebajo

Integrative Health Practitioner

We are delighted to welcome Kayla Adebajo Integrative Health Practitioner/Nurse Practitioner to our clinical team. Kayla has over 20 years of experience in health care and has worked in community health centres providing primary care medicine since 2010. She also holds advanced certification in bioidentical hormone medicine and medical aesthetic services, and has been practicing in renowned clinics in Toronto.  Kayla, by way of her experience working in other integrative medicine centres,  brings excellent knowledge of safe and effective IV therapy administration, including IV nutritional therapy,  and IV chelation therapy.

Kayla has a strong foundation in complementary and alternative medicine,  which includes 20 years of personal experience in the areas of meditation, Reiki and energy medicine, aromatherapy, nutraceuticals, medical herbology, and acupuncture. Kayla has spent years training in top integrative medicine institutions–including A4M, Institute for Functional Medicine, Functional Medicine University,  American College for Advancement in Medicine (ACAM), International College of Integrative Medicine (ICIM), Empire Medical, and WorldLink Medical.

Functional Medicine and Bio-Identical Hormones: Kayla’s main focus will be on our Women’s Health programs.  She will also support our other programs at DeerFields.

Primary Health Care for both Women’s & Men’s Health: Kayla’s support now enables DeerFields Clinic to provide primary care services.  Her areas of interest include:  Women’s Health, Fertility, Sexual Health, Public Health and Healthy Lifestyles, Arthritis, Asthma/COPD, Diabetes, Eating Disorders, Dermatology, Mental Health,  Counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy,  and Joint Injection therapy.

Susan Francis

Clinical Assistant

Susan has worked in the health care sector for over 10 years and brings exceptional skills and experience to our team. Prior to joining DeerFields, Susan worked with multiple physicians, providing support with surgical procedures and blood work and diagnostics testing. She has been recognized as the top phlebotomist in the Greater Toronto Area.

Susan has participated in WHMIS safety training, taking necessary measures to protect herself, her co-workers, and our clients, and to properly identify and control hazardous materials. She received her certification from the Michener Institute in IV Insertion & Maintenance and is also certified in Intramuscular Injection training. She is licensed under the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists. Susan shares her passion for healthy, active living with our entire DeerFields community.
